Dr Tao Zhang Represents Ireland at the EAPT Mid-Year Webinar
On Saturday, 05 October 2024, Dr Tao Zhang, Programme Chair of Pharmacy Technician Studies at TU Dublin, had the honour of representing Ireland at the European Association of Pharmacy Technicians (EAPT) Mid-Year Meeting and Webinar. The event, titled "Education and Training of Pharmacy Technicians – On the Way to the Future," brought together professionals from over 20 countries to discuss critical topics related to the pharmacy technician education, as well as future opportunities and challenges. Dr Zhang’s presentation focused on the current landscape of pharmacy technician education in Ireland, including progression opportunities, career pathways, and the challenges facing the profession. He also shared best practices that have been developed by the programme team and integrated into the curriculum at TU Dublin, with a specific emphasis on professional development and employability skills.
