Biography
Dr Suzanne Doyle graduated from the joint DIT/TCD BSc Human Nutrition and Dietetics programme in 2009, receiving a gold medal for academic achievement. Dr Doyle then secured IRC funding and commenced her PhD studies with the Department of Surgery in Trinity College. This work focussed on the association between visceral adipose tissue and oesophageal cancer outcomes and the role of immunonutrition in improving recovery. On completion of her PhD, Dr Doyle worked in clinical practice in St James’s Hospital before securing HRB funding to examine the role of multimodal rehabilitation in improving outcomes in oesophageal cancer patients. In 2016 Dr Doyle was appointed Assistant Lecturer in Dietetics in the School of Biological and Health Sciences.
