Biography

Dr Patrick Power graduated with an honours degree in Industrial Microbiology from UCD in 2002. He conducted his PhD on the “Production of Novel Amphotericin Analogues by Engineered Biosynthesis” in the laboratory of Dr Patrick Caffrey in UCD, graduating in 2008. From 2009-2010 he was a postdoctoral researcher in the laboratory of Dr Patricia Johnson in DCU, studying the immune mechanisms of T cell activation particularly in response to respiratory viral infection. Since 2012 he has been the Blood Sciences Technician in the School of Biological Sciences, DIT.
