TU Dublin student wins National Award at the IStructE Annual Prize giving ceremony
The Institution of Structural Engineers provide annual awards to acknowledge excellence in structural engineering and this year Mr Ciarán Brennan was awarded the Level 7 Technician Prize for his thesis on “High rise timber construction and its viability in Ireland”. Ciarán was supervised by Mr Patrick Crean and is pictured receiving his award from Ms Jane Entwistle, President of the Institution of Structural Engineers at a recent ceremony.
Ciarán commented: “It’s an honour to receive this prize, especially since I chose to write my thesis about a topic I’m extremely passionate about and that I think will shape the future of Irish construction. Thank you to Patrick Crean for his guidance and my family, friends and colleagues that helped me during my thesis”.
