BioMedical Design Student presents at National N-TUTORR Conference
Halloween Makeathon: Making Halloween costumes for wheelchair users in LauraLynn, Ireland Children’s Hospice
One of our Student champions, Aoife O’Donnell, a 3rd year BioMedical Design Student, represented the School and the 3DAssist “Halloween Wheelchair Costume activity” at The National Conference and Showcase for N-TUTORR Fellowships and Student Champions. Her presentation was to a large audience in Croke Park and was very well received.
For the past 3 years, the School of Mechanical Engineering and the volunteering group, 3DAssist, have collaborated with students and staff from two other schools in designing and manufacturing Wheelchair costumes for Children using the services of LauraLynn, Ireland Children’s Hospice.
This year, we were delighted to have funding from N-TUTORR, the National Technological University Transformation for Recovery and Resilience national project.
