Tom Lundy lectures in Painting & Decorating. He is a graduate of the former DIT with a trade certificate in Painting & Decorating and City and Guilds craft and advanced craft certificates. A former subject matter expert, Tom was directly involved in the development of the painting & decorating curriculum. He has extensive industry experience providing painting and specialist decorating services to film, television, and exhibition projects with specific expertise in specialist finishes, paperhanging, and signwriting. Tom has direct experience in the training of apprentices and has a wide range of skills in all aspect of painting and decorating project work including health & safety, specification, and project management.

Tom has worked for various display and exhibition contractors, including Ex. Plan and Jack Cahill. He began working on film and television productions in 1988 and joined the Painting Department of RTÉ in 1991. He was on a RTÉ panel of contract painters from 1996 and worked on set construction, building, staging, and as part of the standby camera crew on a wide range of film and television productions
