RIAI Town Centre Competition
On Thursday 15th June the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage Darragh O'Brien announced the winning proposals for the RIAI Town Centre Living architectural design competition. These competitions aimed to encourage architects and design teams to develop innovative designs for social housing projects in town centres, as supported by the government Town Centre First policy. From 114 entries, winning proposals were jury selected for each of the participating towns - Roscrea, Castleblayney, Sligo and Kildare.
Of the four winning entries three of them were by TU Dublin School of Architecture lecturers and their practices. Congratulations to Dominic Stevens, JFOC Architects, Dermot Boyd, Boyd Cody Architects and Cian Deegan and Alice Casey, TAKA Architects for their success in this important competition.
