Drawing (on) Landscape - Building Change Lecture + elective workshop

All staff and students are invited to attend a public lecture by Helen McFadden on Monday April 7th 1pm, entitled 'Drawing (on) Landscape'.
The lecture will explore research-for-practice aimed at to re-thinking construction at the coast. The project proposes to use Mulranny, County Mayo, as a test-site for designing strategies to protect and restore coastal wetlands, drawing on its natural, cultural, and legislative contexts. Helen will speak about her research to date and working methods.

Helen McFadden is an architectural graduate of the SABE MArch programme and PhD candidate at SABE. She works on cross-disciplinary teams across practice, research, and education with a focus on cultural, natural, and legislative landscapes. With Dr. Steve Larkin, she recently received the SOM Foundation European Research Prize.
