Dr. Cian White Lecture - 27 February
All staff and students are invited to attend a guest lecture by Dr. Cian White in the Gallery, Linenhall, Monday Feb. 27th 12- 1pm on:
'Integrating Biodiversity into Design: from Knowth to the green walls of Dublin'
Dr. Cian White is a postdoctoral researcher in the Botany Department of Trinity College Dublin, working on developing technology to monitor and improve the sustainability of agricultural supply chains. His PhD focused on Nature-based Solutions, urban biodiversity and designing landscapes that work for people and nature. In this lecture, Cian will demystify the buzzword of biodiversity, lay out the case for why architects should care about nature and what architects can do to mitigate the negative impacts of urbanisation on the natural world.
