Edyta is an architect and computational designer with versatile experience in the Swiss building industry. She holds an MA degree in Architecture and Urban Design (2008) and a MAS degree in CAAD from ETH Zurich (2010). In 2011 she joined Herzog & de Meuron as an architect in Digital Technology Group, where for several years she was responsible for writing customized parametric tools and developing complex geometries in different scales. At Block Research Group at the ETH Zurich, she was project leader of the ‘Beyond Bending’ exhibition at Venice Architecture Biennale in 2016. Since 2018, she worked as a lecturer and senior researcher at FHNW, where she led an applied research project, CoDeFa, nominated to Design Preis Schweiz 2021.  In parallel, she was employed at ERNE AG Holzbau as an architect, software developer and robotic specialist for complex timber structures. Currently, she holds a professorship at the University of Applied Science in Bern with a focus on digital design and fabrication in wood.
