Building Change Lecture by Takero Shimazaki - 13 November
All staff and students are invited to attend a public lecture by Takero Shimazaki (director of t-sa).
The lecture is part of the ‘Building Change’ programme of events.

Takero Shimazaki leads Takero Shimazaki Architects/t-sa, London UK. He has previously worked for Japanese architect, Itsuko Hasegawa, Richard Rogers Partnership, and briefly with Peter Smithson. The practice was founded in 1996 as Toh Shimazaki Architecture (with Yuli Toh), changing it's name in 2009. The focus of t-sa has been on working with found context and narratives to realise architecture of continuity and personal language. Completed projects include Leicester Print Workshop, OSh House, Centre For Sight, Royal Academy of Dance, as well as two cinemas for Curzon. It continues to work on a re-use theatre project as well as on a large farming estate with a Palladian Manor in the midlands.
Takero has also taught since 2000 at Oxford Brookes University, The Architectural Association as well as t-sa's own school, t-sa forum (2006 -). Since 2016, Takero has been a Diploma Unit Master at London Metropolitan University.
