Building Change Lecture by TAKA Architects - 2 December
All staff and students are invited to attend a public lecture by Cian Deegan and Alice Casey on the work of TAKA Architects on Monday 02.12.24, 1-2pm in the Gallery, Linenhall.

TAKA is an architectural practice based in Dublin, Ireland.
Founded in 2008 by directors Alice Casey and Cian Deegan, TAKA have earned international recognition through awards and publications.
TAKA has exhibited & curated in the Venice Architectural Biennale in 2008, 2010 and 2018. A practice project (Merrion Cricket Pavilion) was shortlisted for the Mies van der Rohe EU Award for contemporary architecture in 2017. TAKA were finalists in the 2014 Young Architect of the Year Award and the 2019 Royal Academy Dorfman Award. In 2019, TAKA won the Architectural Review ‘Peter Davey’ prize for emerging architecture. Most recently, four of TAKA’s house projects are featured in the March 2024 of A+U magazine, an edition dedicated to Irish Architecture.
Alice and Cian both hold a PhD from the RMIT University (Melbourne), and have taught at a number of institutions, including University College Dublin and Queens University Belfast. They both currently teach Architecture in Technical University Dublin (TUD) and have given lecturers internationally, most recently in Yale School of Architecture in April 2024.
