Encouraging female participation in Computer Science in Secondary School
In this Tech-Ed for Good Video, Amanda O'Farrell, Lecturer in the School of Enterprise Computing and Digital Transformation, TU Dublin, describes a project to encourage second level female students to study Computer Science in the junior cycle.
The focus of the project was on first year female students. A number of interventions were trialled including online industry mentorship and in-person camps on topics such a Gender Bias in AI, Security and Problem Solving.
