Deirdre Lawless has been a lecturer in the School of Computer Science since 2002, joining after a fifteen year career in the ICT industry. Deirdre teaches a range of modules on a range of programmes in the school focusing on core elements of data science and software development. Her research interests are focused on the area of computer science education, in particular conceptions of teaching held by computer science lecturers and how this influences their practice.
