Michael received his PhD from the University of Oxford in 2020 before working as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Helsinki. He joined the School of Mathematics and Statistics in 2023 as an Assistant Lecturer.

His interests are broadly in the area of probability theory with specific research experience on topics such as the geometry of smooth Gaussian field and Gaussian multiplicative chaos. His past collaborators include Dmitry Beliaev, Stephen Muirhead, Antti Kupiainen, Eero Saksman and David Wells.
