Dr Carl Sullivan has spent twenty years working in the school of Food Science and Environmental Health (formerly part of the Dublin Institute of Technology) before joining the school of Mathematics and Statistics in TU Dublin. His research is in the area of Process Analytical Technology (PAT). He is particularly interested in utilising Laser-Induced Breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) to analyse mineral content in food, pharmaceutical and soil samples. Dr. Carl Sullivan also has an interest in obtaining spatial information about samples via spectral signals and RGB images.
