School hosts IMS Annual Meeting 2022
The School of Mathematical Sciences is hosting the annual meeting of the Irish Mathematical Society for 2022.
After a tumultuous few years, the School of Mathematics & Statistics is hosting the Irish Mathematical Society Annual Meeting 2022 with delegates from across Ireland, for a fully in-person conference on its Grangegorman campus.
It is excellent to see so many participants sign up for the two-day meeting from 1 - 2 September in Central Quad, the brand new facilities occupied by the School of Mathematics & Statistics. A conference schedule and details of the meeting can be found here.
The School last hosted the Irish Mathematical Society Annual Meeting in 2010. This was held in DIT, on the Kevin Street site and hosted by the School of Mathematical Sciences. Since then, much has changed: TU Dublin has been formed as the first Technological University and one of the largest universities in Ireland; Kevin Street building has been demolished and the School and its students are now occupying fabulous, modern, purpose-built facilities; and the School is now the School of Mathematics & Statistics, in the Faculty of Computing, Digital & Data as part of the new faculty structure of TU Dublin and the discipline home for mathematics and statistics for the university.
