Prof Ivanov in world’s top 2% scientists rankings
The School is delighted to congratulate Prof Rossen Ivanov, a lecturer in the School of Mathematics & Statistics, TU Dublin on appearing on the world’s top 2% scientists rankings.
The list is compiled by Stanford University in association with Elsevier publishers. It recognises scientists at the forefront of their disciplines who are making a significant contribution to knowledge and advancing their field. Professor Ivanov works across many areas of research including Nonlinear Partial Differential Equations, Soliton Theory, Lagrangian and Hamiltonian Mechanics and Fluid Mechanics. He works with collaborators across the world and is an active supervisor of research students.
Professor Ivanov's work is among the top 2% of most-cited researchers worldwide and his research is undoubtedly having a very significant impact in many areas. In particular, the SFI-funded project Ocean flow induced b y internal wave-current interactions is important research with implications for the study and modelling of ocean wave patterns.
The School congratulates Prof Ivanov on this prestiguous and well-deserved recognition of his significant ongoing research contributions.
