NMC22 conference organised by team including John Butler, TU Dublin
Neuromatch Conference 2022 (NMC22) is a conference for the online computational neuroscience community. Dr John Butler, a lecturer in the School, is a member of an international team of organisers. NMC22 is the fifth Neuromatch annual conference.
The Neuromatch Conference 2022 is the largest virtual computational neuroscience conference and will be held 27 - 28 September 2022 (https://conference.neuromatch.io). Each conference has led the way in innovations in the virtual conference space, and this year is no different. NMC22 will feature:
- all talks provided with a DOI for permanent identification of the contribution presented at NMC 2022
- all main talks hosted on Crowdcast; flash talks (brief pre-recorded videos) instead of posters; and dedicated meet-up times for discussion within Reddit
- a new edition of NMC for kids: a special session of talks for a younger audience and the young at heart interested in neuroscience, plus a new “Escape Room” experience
- building on last year's innovation, a mechanism connecting talks in the conference to corresponding preprints on bioRxiv and medRxiv, and links to preprints on other platforms such as OSF preprints
The Neuromatch Conference is focused on Computational Neuroscience broadly construed, its scope includes machine learning work that has an explicit biological link. A large and diverse community is therefore expected to participate over the two days of events and to further the Neuromatch vision to foster inclusive global interactions for learning, mentorship, networking, and professional development in neuroscience through online community interactions.
