Mathematics & Statistics at TU Dublin Open Day
Prospective students met staff of the School of Mathematics & Statistics to learn about opportunities to study mathematics & statistics at TU Dublin's open day on Saturday 12 November.
TU Dublin threw open its doors on its Grangegorman campus on Saturday 12 November and welcomed prospective students to its autumn open day. It was an opportunity to experience first-hand the fabulous student facilities and teaching rooms on that location and to speak to lecturers about courses.
The School of Mathematics & Statistics offers opportunities to study a wide range of courses suited to any learner, from undergraduate to postgraduate, part time and full time, from four-year programmes to short courses. The focus of the open day was CAO programmes and prospective students had the chance to ask questions and learn about the exciting career opportunities and life benefits offered by a mathematics degree and the features of our full-time undergraduate programme TU874 BSc Mathematical Sciences, including the important work placement element in third year.
Visitors even had the chance to hear the perspective of a current undergraduate student who is studying mathematics, Mateusz Mroczkowski, and to hear in detail about the student experience at TU Dublin.
Later, prospective students listened to information talks about our courses and opportunities for progression and further study.
It was a pleasure to meet so many enthusiastic young people interested in mathematics and statistics and we look forward to seeing many of them next academic year. In the meantime, we are happy to answer any questions so please contact us via the information on these webpages.
