An evening of pizza & puzzles!
The School of Mathematics & Statistics held a fun evening of puzzles and pizza for its full-time undergraduate students on 31 March 2023.
The evening was designed to explore mathematical brainteasers, conundrums and riddles in a social context, demonstrating the fun and beauty of mathematics ... and, of course, everyone likes pizza!
It is of great importance to us to support our students during their studies and peer networks and building a sense of community within the discipline are excellent tools to ensure students get the most out of their time at university.
The puzzles were provided by the lecturers within the school and the event was well attended with students who worked together to unravel the mysteries and paradoxes presented to them.
Everyone had an enjoyable evening and our thanks go to all our staff who organised the event.
