Michael joined the lecturing team in TU-Dublin in 2012. Since then, he was involved in many different projects including, the first-year experience, university open days, course development, international promotion of the university, and ERASMUS co-ordination for the Department of Informatics and Cyber Security.

Michael delivers modules in digital forensics and has a keen interest in covert communication. He also presents modules in the area of business and communication. Michael has supervised more than 
100 student projects in digital forensics and cyber security and has published papers in the area.

Michael is currently a manager of team Ireland for the European Cyber Security Challenge since 2017 organised by ENISA and the EU.
