Lecturing in the School of Informatics and Cyber Security at the Technological University Dublin since 2008, teaching a range of networking and infrastructure modules. Before this, Aoife taught at Crumlin College of Further Education for four years, delivering modules in Cisco Networking and Computer Systems to further education students. This is where her passion for networking and teaching really flourished.

Aoife teaches in the Discipline of IT and Infrastructure at the Blanchardstown campus and holds a Cisco ITQ Trainer Qualification, allowing her to train other academic staff in Cisco networking. With over 15 years of Cisco Training experience, she currently delivers CCNA to part-time students at Blanchardstown and holds a CCNA qualification.

Aoife has been involved in three Programmatic Reviews for the Informatics department since 2008 and was a member of Academic Council at TU Dublin Blanchardstown. Aoife was a team lead in the development of the programme for the very successful Learn & Work in Networking Technologies that has been running since 2016. This programme has had many successes both for the community and for overcoming the critical skills shortage in ICT. Aoife remains very involved in the programme, delivering networking modules to Learn & Work students and was heavily involved in the recruitment process for the current intake of Learn & Work students.

Aoife supports Year 3 Computing students as their Course Tutor and coordinates Level 7 Group Projects. She has supervised many wonderful projects over the years. Her main research interests are Networking, IoT, Security, SDN and Network Programmability.

• Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Computing in Information Technology - First Class Honours Awarded, TU Dublin (Blanchardstown Campus) 
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
• Cisco Networking Academy Certified Instructor – ITN, SRWE and ENSA.
