Dr. Paul Doyle is the Head of the School of Computer Science at Technological University Dublin. He has spent over 20 years in industry working for Sun Microsystems at Silicon Valley and Dublin, and was the Product and Quality Director for CR2, an Irish SME and has also worked in Hong Kong on financial transaction systems. He returned to academia in 2008 where he completed his PhD in the area of Astronomical Distributed Data Processing building a globally distributed data processing network Infrastructure. He is currently the PI on a number of European funded projects including Global Innovations and GETM3, and is actively involved in curriculum development of computer science courses both nationally and internationally. His research areas include Great IT, Big Data, Distributed Systems and Educational research. In recognition of work done with the Hunan University of Technology , was listed in the "top oversea professors 2020 for the Provence of HUNAN".
