Qualifications: PhD in Human Resource Management & International Business; Master of Business Study in HRM; Degree in Commercial & Business Management Study; Bachelor of Arts in English Language Study
In my current role at MPO, I have been lecturing a range of modules relating to HRM, business management and international business, along with an active role of supervising research projects, for both BSc and MSc students in HRM and other disciplines. The priority of my teaching is to ensure the adoption of an engaging and interacting pedagogical approach in my teaching that is also characterized by student-centred, evidence- and practice-based and the usages of latest technologies and multiple assessments. I am core member of a few MSc and BSc programme committees with involvement and contribution to the design, delivery, assessment, review and/or validation (or re-validation) of these programmes. Furthermore, I am also actively involved in other scholarly activities and local communities (relating to research, assessment, teaching and learning) across TU Dublin and beyond, such as my CIPD membership and being reviewer of the Irish Academy of Management.
I commenced my academic career as PhD researcher in 2011 at University of Limerick, through which I greatly enhanced my professional knowledge and developed strong research interests in the disciplines of HRM and International Business. Prior joining TU Dublin, I had teaching, lecturing and supervision experience at the National College of Ireland and the Institute of Public Administration in Dublin. I also worked as HR Executive in the IT sector in Dublin where I actively engaged in and contributed to the establishment of many aspects of HRM within the specific company, covering from recruitment to strategy development and legislation compliance. Currently, I lead research projects on HRM/IR within MNEs that are collaborated with other scholars at Irish Universities. I am also involved in international comparative studies that are collaborated with some international scholars at Chinese Universities.
