TU Dublin Case Competition Bootcamp – A Week of Growth, Learning & International Collaboration!

Published: 3 Feb, 2025

TU Dublin School of Management, People and Organisations was proud to host the 7th edition of the TU Dublin Case Competition Bootcamp! This year, we welcomed delegates from eight universities across the globe:

🌍 Concordia University Montreal
🌍 University of South Carolina
🌍 Rotterdam Business School RUAS
🌍 Copenhagen Business School
🌍 University of Amsterdam
🌍 Universidade do Porto
🌍 EPHEC Business School Belgium

Students participated in interactive sessions on Storytelling, Marketing, HR, AI, Finance, and Advanced PowerPoint, led by Eoghan O'Grady alongside faculty advisors from each university. A highlight of the week included a visit to Google EMEA HQ and an insightful workshop by Caoimhe Nugent (Senior New Business Accounts Manager & TU903 Graduate).

💡 Throughout the week, students collaborated in mixed-university teams, "cracking" case studies before competing in school teams for the semi-finals and finals. Their challenge? Apply the week's learning to solve real-world business problems and present their solutions to a live case.

🏆 Finalists: Copenhagen Business School (CBS) & University of South Carolina (USC)

🥇 Winners: University of South Carolina (USC)

A massive thank you to our final judges: Caoimhe Nugent, Denis Kelly, Kevin Murray, and Diane Hurley. And of course, a huge congratulations to our School of MPO team from the Business and Management (TU903) programme – Charlie O'Donoghue, Charley Reynolds, David Dunne, and Donna Byrne, – who will represent TU Dublin and the School of MPO at the Network of International Business Schools International Case Competition in China this March!

The positive feedback from both students and faculty has been overwhelming. As one coach put it:

"The Bootcamp provided a unique opportunity for students to collaborate in diverse teams, develop critical problem-solving skills, and build lifelong networks. The interactive nature of the sessions fostered a culture of learning and growth, preparing them for global case competitions."

A special thanks to Eoghan O'Grady from the School of MPO, whose dedication and organisation have been instrumental in making this event such a success. Thanks to his efforts, the TU Dublin Case Competition Bootcamp continues to go from strength to strength, growing in reputation and impact every year.

📈 Looking ahead to 2026: Given the enthusiasm from universities worldwide—including UNSW (Australia), University of California, Berkeley (US), Corvinus University of Budapest (Hungary), University of Navarra (Spain), and HEC Montréal—we are expanding participation for the 8th edition in January 2026!

A huge thank you to all students, faculty, and supporters who made this event such a success. We can’t wait to welcome even more universities next year! 🌎💡
