UNICC is an annual multi-round case competition comprising 16 business schools from around the world. Including in this year’s edition, the Haas School of Business at the University of California Berkeley, the University of South Carolina, the University of Alberta, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, BI Norway and the American University of Beirut. As in those other such competitions in which School of MPO students compete, the teams apply the knowledge and skills they have acquired in the classroom to design and present strategic solutions to a range of companies over a week of intense competition.
The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Wilfrid Laurier University and Concordia University were declared Divisional winners and competed in the Grand Final in El Sadar Stadium – the home of Osasuna Football Club in Pamplona. The task was to make and present strategic recommendations to the Executive Board of Osasuna to help them grow fan base and revenues.
Chris O Sullivan speaking on behalf of the team – “thank you to the School and Faculty for giving us the opportunity to participate. It was a fantastic learning and networking experience. We wish all future teams the very best of luck in this and other competitions.”
Team Coach Dr. Eoghan O’ Grady also expressed his gratitude for the ongoing support of the School for case competition participation and looks forward to helping teams of students from the School prepare and compete for this and other competitions.
