Exciting Times at the 2024-25 Education in Ireland Roadshow in India!

Published: 22 Oct, 2024

We are thrilled to share that Dr Roisin Donnelly, Head of School of MPO and Ashley ODonoghue represented our Faculty of Business at this year's Education in Ireland Roadshow, participating in international recruitment fairs across India. Over the course of five events in New Delhi, Pune, Mumbai, Chennai, and Bengaluru, they engaged with hundreds of enthusiastic prospective students, their parents, and key stakeholders from India's vibrant education sector.

The roadshow began with a special networking dinner on Friday, 27th September 2024 at the Irish Ambassador's Residence in New Delhi. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect, and Dr. Donnelly and Dr. O'Donoghue had the pleasure of meeting Ambassador Kevin Kelly Ambassador of Ireland to India, setting the stage for an impactful series of fairs.

The value of in-person events like these is undeniable. According to the 2024 QS International Student Survey, 52% of Indian students attend recruitment fairs, with 71% preferring in-person engagement. For 40%, fairs are among the most useful sources of information when selecting universities. The chance to interact personally with representatives, like Dr. Donnelly and Dr. O'Donoghue, proves invaluable—enabling students to gather insights into the wide range of universities and programmes on offer.

A huge thanks to the Education in Ireland team for their outstanding professionalism, support, and collegiality throughout this successful roadshow. We look forward to welcoming many of the fantastic students we met to our Faculty of Business programmes in the near future!
