5th Annual IPA Colloquium at TU Dublin a Resounding Success

Published: 12 Mar, 2025

The 5th Annual Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) Colloquium at TU Dublin was a fantastic success, bringing together researchers, industry experts, and academics in a dynamic hybrid event. The event featured engaging discussions, thought-provoking insights, and a shared passion for advancing IPA research.

A huge thank you to all speakers and attendees, both in person and online, whose energy and collaboration made this event truly special. The colloquium provided a valuable opportunity to explore new perspectives in IPA, with contributions from industry leader Rick Harris and key international researchers Sarah Vicary and Dr. Gillian M Ferguson. We also gained fascinating insights from Gillian Walsh, Paul McManus, and Mags Amond in their discussion on the parallel spaces of Reflexive Thematic Analysis & Descriptive Phenomenological Analysis.

Special appreciation goes to the organiser of the event, Dr. Serge Basini, co-chair Dr. Martina Carroll and our dedicated CTO Edi Oliveira, whose hard work and commitment made this event possible.

We also extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Roisin Donnelly (TU Dublin School of Management, People and Organisations), Trish Ganly, Andrea Reger, Anna B., Joanna Kossykowska, David Bishop, Dr. Clare Finegan, and Leonard McCammon for their ongoing support of the TU Dublin IPA Research Group.

To everyone who participated—let’s keep the conversation going! If we didn’t get a chance to connect during the event, feel free to reach out. We look forward to building on these discussions and continuing to strengthen our research community.
