Rachel Murphy, Thokozile Phiri, Tom Proctor and Xiaoyu Xie had just 2.5 hours to prepare a strategic analysis and presentation for Vortex Energy that would allow them to negotiate several challenges and put them on a secure footing going forward.
The panel of judges comprised Alacoque McMenamin of People 4 Projects and former MBAAI President, Robert Cooper, Founder of Socratic Coaching, and Ade McCormack renowned thought leader and international keynote speaker.
Ade McCormack, when announcing the winning team, complimented Rachel, Thoko, Tom and Xiaoyu on the quality of their analysis, the degree of detail in their recommendations and the overall quality of their presentation.
TU Dublin Team Coach Dr. Eoghan O’ Grady said: “This competition challenges teams from MBA programmes across the country to apply those analytical, conceptual and interpersonal skills developed on their MBA programmes. I am delighted for the team and congratulate them on such a great performance. Well done also of course to Tom for being named Competition’s Best Speaker. I am sure I speak on behalf of all teams in thanking the MBA Association of Ireland including of course MBAAI President Michelle Gallagher and all those at the MBAAI for organising such a fantastic event”.
