I primarily teach modules on the Level 8 programmes TU912 Business Analytics (1st, 3rd and 4th years) and TU914 Business Computing (1st, 3rd and 4th years).  These modules are technical and focus on developing the students’ ability to apply technologies, so I use a lot of problem-based learning to teach subjects such as Python (ITEC1007), Statistical Programming (STAT1951), Big Data frameworks (SDEV4010) and Software Quality Assurance (INFS3028). My 3rd and 4th year modules are also taken by students who visit Ireland on a collaborative programme we have with Epitech.

My current research interest is in tools to assist novice programmers understand programming concepts, and in particular to visualise the run-time behaviour of their programs.
