Susan delivers modules in accounting and finance, project management, risk & compliance, entrepreneurship, and business start-ups. Prior to joining TU Dublin, Susan enjoyed a successful career for over 20 years’ working as a senior executive and company director in financial services in Dublin and London. Her style of teaching uses a good blend of theoretical knowledge, practical industry focus, using case studies, group work projects and presentations, bringing in industry speakers where beneficial. Susan is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and is a member of the Institute of Directors, Ireland.

In 2022, Susan commenced a qualitative research study, as a PhD candidate at TU Dublin focusing on corporate governance. Susan is also very engaged with the local community, volunteering on a number of not-for-profit boards and committees.

Susan draws on her extensive experience in industry in order to bring the subject matter alive for students. She creates an engaging and inclusive learning environment for individuals and groups, that supports academic achievement and personal development.
