The TU Dublin School of Tourism and Hospitality Management’s class of 2022/2023 Student Excellence Awards were held at a ceremony in the Croke Park Hotel, Drumcondra on April 9th.  

Croke Park Hotel General Manager Sean Reid was on hand to introduce the ceremony and gave great encouragement and insight to the students both as a hotel manager and as an alumnus of TU Dublin’s Hospitality program. “As a former Graduate of Cathal Brugha Street, it is great to see so many future industry superstars,” Sean said via LinkedIn.  

Dr Ralf Burbach, Assistant Head of School, and Peter Griffin, Head of Discipline for Tourism, presented the awards to students who achieved best overall results in their respective programmes.  

Awards were given out to the top students in their respective programmes across both first and second year. A student engagement award was also given to final year students in each programme, acknowledging their contribution to their programme and school during their time in the university. 

 A reception for the students and their families followed the ceremony with tea, coffee and food kindly provided by the Croke Park Hotel.
