Funded Mathematics PhD Opportunity From School Seed Funding
Fiona Faulkner is extending research which began with school seed funding by advertising for a new PhD student to begin in Sept 2022.
The school seed funding research examined beginning undergraduate students' problem solving and procedural skills in mathematics and led to the following publication:
Faulkner, F., Breen, C., Prendergast, M., & Carr, M. (2021). Profiling mathematical procedural and problem-solving skills of undergraduate students following a new mathematics curriculum. International Journal of Mathematical Education in Science and Technology, 1-30.
Fiona will lead the supervision of the fully funded PhD along with colleagues Paul Robinson and Ciaran O'Sullivan who are based on the Tallaght campus.
