A Design History of Irish Playgrounds from 1933 to present

Yağmur’s current research focuses on contemporary Irish playground design which is awarded a TU Dublin Research Scholar award. Yağmur’s research interests are post-war playground design, adventure playgrounds, design of play objects, representations of play in different media platforms and most recently architecture in video game design. Yağmur is also an hourly paid assistant lecturer at the Game Design course in the School of Media at TU Dublin. Yağmur is trained as an architect and completed her Master's in Interior Design. She has also worked as a freelance interior designer. Currently Yağmur is a fellow for the journal Architectural Histories published by European Architectural History Network.
