Profile
Peter Lynch is a lecturer in game design on undergraduate programmes in the School of Media. In addition to teaching, Lynch is involved in a number of research conferences: he organised the TU Dublin State of Play Games Conference 2021, and has presented at both the TU Dublin IMPACT Game Jam 2021 and the TU Dublin LTTC National Forum 2020.
An accredited PRINCE2 Practitioner, he is director of Fierce Fun Games Studio and is a content author/writer for FierceFun.com blog. He is also the localisation Manager for the international language versions of the global hit computer games HalfLife, Starcraft and Diablo 2m and designed and published one of the first commercial mobile games developed in Ireland.
Previously Chairman of Imirt, the Irish Game Developers Association, he was an adjudicator on the Dare to be Digital Game Competition at Abertay University. He was also a member of the TU Dublin Convene programme Sustainable Innovators for Enterprise Validation team. His contribution to the game industry has been recognised with two national technology awards: Game Development Company of the Year 2004 and Eircom Web Innovation Award 2007/08.
