Profile
Dr Nora Duggan is an artist, practice-based researcher, and lecturer at TU Dublin.
She holds a Digital Art & Humanities PhD from NUI Galway, an MFA in Fine Art (Art in the Digital World) from NCAD and a BA in Fine Art, from Dublin Institute of Technology.
Nora’s current interdisciplinary research projects include collaboration with transatlantic historian Dr Maxine Keoghan on forging ongoing cultural connections with the Irish diaspora based in Newfoundland, Canada.
Her current art practice is in part informed by her background as a stained-glass artist/craftsperson. More recently, she has begun to employ lens-based imagery and post-production manipulation techniques to render visible a somewhat indeterminate territory of time that lies between stillness and movement. This practice informs her interdisciplinary research activities.
