Profile

Kenneth Murphy is a lecturer on the Journalism, Photography and Film & Broadcasting undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the School of Media, TU Dublin. 

In addition to teaching, Ken's current research interests include the perseverance and renewal of media in the contexts of digitisation and digital transformation. Working at the confluence of media and social theory, political economy and media sociology, Ken's research focusses on digital communication, mediation, and public policy. 

Ken is involved in multiple collaborative research projects and has completed research under the BAI's media research scheme.

 

Lecturing Profile

Ken Murphy is a lecturer in media and communication. He works on the critical studies strand of Photography, Film & Broadcasting, and Journalism degrees. 

Ken regularly supervises student dissertations at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and is currently co-supervising a PhD student.
