Dr Anthony Haughey Exhibition in Collins Barracks
We want to congratulate staff member Dr Anthony Haughey for the opening this week of his exhibition in Collins Barracks “We make our own histories” The exhibition is the culmination of Anthony's collaborative and socially engaged residency from 2021 - 2024 at the National Museum of Ireland, taking inspiration from the Museum’s collections, as they relate to the Decade of Centenaries.

We have had some great student success over the past week:
- At the DIFF First Frame competition we share the great news from our BA in Film & Broadcasting students: the film Once Home, directed by Niamh Hanley won best film in the experimental category and Last Moments, directed by Ian Mallin won best fiction film.
- At the Royal Television Society Student Awards in RTÉ on 28th of February: Robbie Rents a Room from director Lloyd Hyland won the prize for the Comedy & Entertainment category. It will now go forward for consideration for the London RTS finals, in June.

- As part of International Women’s day, School of Media's senior lecturers Dr. Mary Ann Bolger and Dr. Caroline O'Sullivan will be giving a lecture on “Challenges to diversifying the Screen Industries” in EQ 204 on the 11th of March at 1pm - all welcome.
