Orla Stafford BA (Hons) M.A. PgCert in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education is an Assistant Lecturer in Communications in the early stages of her career. Orla is based on the Tallaght campus of Technological University Dublin. Orla lectures on modules including Critical Skills Development, Social Media Communications, Technical English, and English as a Foreign Language.  

Orla manages the successful English as a Foreign Language programme for part-time students who, on successful completion of the programme, are awarded a Higher Certificate in EFL (single subject certification).  

Orla has lectured from level 6 to level 8 on the National Framework of Qualifications. 

Orla previously ran academic English workshops during the summer months on the Tallaght campus for prospective students. These short five-week courses acted as ‘refresher’ programmes for potential students hoping to study on part-time or full-time programmes in the future.  

Orla was awarded a student led Teaching Hero Award 2020, organised by the National Forum for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning in collaboration with the Union of Students in Ireland.
