Nathalie Cazaux specialises in French for Business and has been teaching at all levels at TU Dublin for more than twenty years. Her research interests range from the integration of technology in language learning to gamification, intercultural relationships in the workplace and Universal Design for learning.
Her interests lie in the use of technology in learning and its effect on motivation as well as its potential positive influence in the integration of a diverse cohort of students. She is currently working within the fields of Computer Assisted Language Learning, Gamification, Universal Design for Learning and the connected worlds of Social Media.
In association with Dr Helen Williams, Dr Eamon Maher and Odette Gabaudan in TU Dublin, she has developed the website frenchgrammartour.com with the help of the French Embassy and the Institut Francais. She has been working with colleagues Dr Riana Walsh, Dr Susanna Nocchi and Odette Gabaudan to develop and promote #LanguagesPathways, a versatile platform encouraging second level students to continue their language learning at Third Level. The LanguagesPathways platform has been awarded the European Language Label in 2022. Nathalie Cazaux is using Gamification for Education and organises an annual event where students from diverse disciplines work online on the creation of a language learning game in 60 hours.

Nathalie Cazaux’s research interests are also in the Intercultural field. She is currently working as a volunteer in a Community Garden where she provides a space for language learning and intercultural exchanges with new communities in North Inner City Dublin. She would be interested in supervising research in these community-led fields.
