Professional Development

Culinary arts and food technology embraces the bar, bakery, hospitality and food product development industries.  We offer tremendous opportunities for suitably qualified people to upskill and attain senior positions both in Ireland and internationally as bar managers, restaurateurs, bakers, chefs, and entrepreneurs.

We understand the heavy workloads or other commitments which limit the amount of time for attendance at college and to facilitate this our school offer a wide variety of modules from its full time suite of programmes on a part-time continuing professional development (CPD) basis.

Successful completion of a module qualifies you for a Certificate in Professional Development as well as gaining valuable European Credits (ECTs).  By gradually taking individual modules over a period of time, you can in addition to obtaining valuable credentials, build qualifications and European Credits towards a degree should you so wish.

New part-time CPD programmes added for September 2024 include:

Horticultural Sustainability Studies

Bar and Beverage Management Studies
