MSc. in Food Innovation and Product Design FIPDes
FIPDes is an EU M.Sc. programme with partner universities from France (AgroParisTech. Universite Paris-Saclay); TU Dublin (School of Culinary Arts and Food Technology); Lund University(Sweden); University of Naples (UNINA).
The Introductory week for the FIPDes programme was held in France at the AgroParis/ Université Paris-Saclay campus from September 2nd-6th. During the week many activities were arranged including meeting the incoming 13th cohort of students, meetings of the programme consortium, FIPDes day (a day of seminars on Food Innovation topics) and a graduation of cohort 11.
As part of FIPDes week, Margaret Connolly a lecturer from our school delivered the keynote address to an audience of international consortium members including industry guests from France, Italy, Sweden, Ireland and the USA, as well as current FIPDes students and alumni.
Her presentation, titled ‘Market Insights and Consumer Behaviours- An eye to the Future’, provided an overview of the current and future consumer landscape, examining some of the main drivers of change and focusing on how technology is impacting consumers decision making and their purchasing activities.
The presentation generated some interesting questions and discussion, in particular around the growing influence of AI and social media and the importance of having a Consumer Centric approach at all stages of the production and supply chain.
Our Congratulations to Cohort 11!
The FIPDes students of Cohort 11 received their diploma at the Fondation Biermans-Lapôtre (Belgium house) in the Cité Universitaire in Paris on September 6th, 2024.
