TU Dublin Conservatoire is delighted to be welcoming international soloist Matilda Lloyd, who will present a public trumpet masterclass in the East Quad, Concert Hall at 10:00 hrs on April 24th during her Music Network tour of Ireland.
This masterclass will feature students from the TU Dublin Conservatoire, Royal Irish Academy of Music, and MTU Cork School of Music, and we look forward to welcoming all on the day.
This masterclass is open to the public and all who wish to observe - No tickets required, just attend and enjoy! However, places are limited and will be given on a first come-first served basis.
Praised as an “eloquent trumpet soloist” (The Times), Matilda Lloyd captivates audiences with her artistry, communication, and musicality. Casta Diva, her debut album for Chandos Records was BBC Music Magazine’s Recording of the Month in June 2023, with a five-star review describing it as an “album full of delights… Lloyd plays with intense expression and immense warmth.”
Nominated by the Barbican Centre London and Konserthuset Stockholm, Matilda will be a European Concert Hall Organisation (ECHO) Rising Star for the 2024/25 season, performing on some of Europe’s most prestigious stages.
