Design Research Assistant in Industrial Design

Vinh Truong is a Dublin-based Industrial Designer who specializes in developing consumer products and design for 3D printing. After graduating with a First Class Honours in BS.c Product Design from TU Dublin, Vinh began his professional career as a Design Researcher and freelances in his spare time.

Currently, Vinh focuses on supporting industry clients and entrepreneurs in the development of new products through TU Dublin CreateLAB. He is also a Research Collaborator on Craft 4.0, an Erasmus+ project, which investigates how new digital technologies, such as 3D printing and CNC tools, can enhance the Craft Sector.

Vinh often incorporates a playful approach and narrative to his designs, assisting the user in creating new experiences. He has designed products that have been shortlisted for and won a number of awards including the James Dyson Award and has been featured on different design platforms such as Yanko Design.
