Peter MacCann is a Designer with a multi-disciplinary background.

A DIT graduate (BA Interior & Furniture) Peter also holds a Diploma in graphic design (WIT) and a MA in furniture design (BCUC).

Specialising in furniture and lighting, Peter has worked with clients worldwide and has won a number of international awards for his products. As a freelance designer Peter has completed projects, both large and small, encompassing graphic, furniture, exhibition and interior design.

Peter has served as a Jury member for iF (International Forum) Product Design Awards in Hannover and as product design representative for the IDI (Institute of Designers Ireland).

An avid collector of stuff, Peter’s research interests focus on design and material culture, specifically in designed artefacts as expressions of social and technical history.

Peter lectures on the BA Interior Design and the Bsc in Product Design.
