Assistant Lecturer

Órla works as an interior designer and sustainability consultant on both residential and commercial projects, having recently spent six years as a senior designer with Arnotts of Dublin. She currently works as a freelance designer and prop stylist. Her specialist areas of teaching are interior design, visual merchandising, and sustainable development. She continues to incorporate sustainable strategies in her retail design practice, in particular with regards to energy efficiency, one of the biggest environmental challenges of the retail sector.

Órla has taught in both Ireland and Canada, and is continuously searching for new and innovative ways of engaging and assessing learners of all ages and diverse cultural backgrounds.
