Lecturer

Andrew Horan is a lecturer in Post Press Technology. Currently he teaches on the Print and Digital Media Apprenticeship and the BA in Print & Digital Media Management. Before joining Dublin Institute of Technology in 2005 Andrew worked for Smurfit Web Press the biggest commercial printing company in Ireland for 18 years and held the position of Print Finishing Manager. He holds a senior trade certificate in Print Finishing and BSc in Print Management. During his time with DIT he has developed and delivered personalised CPD programs for the print industry. Clients include Skillnets, ArbourHill Prison section and Smurfit Kappa.

Andrew teaches Post Press, Quality Assurance and Carton Making for Print Media Apprentices. He also coordinates industrial visits locally, the UK and Europe with the Print Media Apprentices. At undergraduate level he lectures in Post Press, Operations Management and Service Production Management. Also at undergraduate level, Andrew is a Thesis Supervisor.
