Based in Dublin, Amy Walsh’s artistic practice consists primarily of video, photography and digital media. In her work she investigates links between technology and place and is interested in how landscape and temporality is mediated through technology.
Walsh has exhibited her work in Sweden, Iceland, Poland, Spain, Italy, the UK as well as throughout Ireland. She is currently working towards an exhibition of new work, which will be shown in Australia at the Site Works Symposium in October 2013.
Walsh has been selected to participate in numerous international artist residencies. She recently undertook a residency with the Bundanon Trust in Australia and previously participated in artist residencies in Canada and Iceland. Walsh has been awarded a residency in 2014 with the Cill Rialaig project in Ireland.
Walsh is currently lecturing on the BA in Fine Art at the Dublin Institute of Technology and holds qualifications in Fine Art Media, Multimedia Systems and Education
