Tread Lightly
Tread Lightly who knows what lies within the decaying walls, the creaking door, or the glossy veneer of stability? Tread Lightly is an exhibition presented by Third Year Fine Art TU Dublin School of Art and Design students.
Located in the Old Church, Lower Grangegorman Road, the exhibition features a diverse array of practices such as textiles, print, photography, video, and sculpture. Each artist explores themes that are often diminished as taboo or uncomfortable. The work recontextualises the church context once enshrouded in rigidity and tradition with an exhibition of contemporary art. The themes in the show respond to women’s health and equity, LGBTQIA+ issues and a retrospective look at Irish youth culture - no stone is left unturned.
